Ramp Report - Wareham, MA - Tempest Knob Boat Launch

Location: Tempest Knob Boat Launch & Public Access Facility

Body of water: Wareham River / Buzzard’s Bay

Facility Description: This facility is a public access ramp. The paved parking lot has 35 trailer parking spots that can accommodate 40’ long truck / trailers. The parking orientation is perpendicular which can be challenging for maneuvering larger truck / trailer rigs, such as towing a MacGregor 26. There is a porta-potty outhouse onsite.

Ramp Description: The paved approach is a 120’ long shallow / medium slope that is 30’ wide for two launch lanes. The far lane has trees and foliage overhead, sailboats beware. The ramp itself is a concrete pad. approximately 65’ long with a shallow / medium slope. There is an 80’ long floating walk-on dock on one lane. A 160’ long pier with floating dock provides a tie-up / boarding area.

Launch / parking fees: $5 daily (NOT 24 hours) envelope drop box
