Here is a picture of a simple device that will prevent the propeller from turning into a rudder shredder. This is a photo of the device on Mike Morris's V-23. The added fin is made from an old 18 wheeler plastic mud flap. A 1/4 piece of plywood would also work. It just keeps the rudder and the prop from shairing the same space.
