Motor Lifter
from Mike Morris

Here is a picture of a simple device that will make it easy to lift and lower the outboard. Without this device it is awkward to lift the motor. It is necessary to lean way over the back in order to pull up and outward to get the motor to come up.

The device is left attached to the motor and stores on the cockpit edge. The lever gives the mechanical advantge to make it come up and down easily.

Photo 1 shows the lifter stored on the side of the cockpit and the block of wood that the lifter pivots in.

Photo 2 shows the lifter being set up in the block.

Photo 3 shows the lifter in place and the motor in the raised position.

Photo 4 shows a side view of the set up with the motor in the low position.
