IV. Treasurer's Report: Presented by Tony Distefano:
As of today, we have $787.71, after paying web hosting, postage, to bank for deposit slips and checks, and to Harding Sails for burgees. These burgees are single sided, and the next time we have any made, we would like to have double sided.
We have 115 members, 112 of which have paid. New membership begins Nov 1st, 2006. We have members from Nova Scotia, Alaska, and all over the North East.
Need to send reminders to those who haven't paid, and after some discussion, a way will be worked out to do so. Those who haven't paid by April 1st, 2007, will be dropped from the membership list.
At the party on Dec 9th, we will make buttons which will include the club logo, member name, and boat name.
Bill moved to accept the Treasurers' report ; approved by acclimation.

V. New/Continuing Business:
Discussed in the April meeting, making t-shirts, hats, badges, cards. Suggested to make badges (see above) at the party, with Karen Hill's help. Paul Seeberg will create new cards (membership cards) based on the design of the old, changing the name to NorthEast Trailer Sailors, and with the logo as on the burgee. He and Tony will coordinate so that Tony will end up with the cards and will be the one to send them to paid up members. Rani will send the old design template to Paul to work with. VI. Other Business:
Tony moved that money for today's food be supplied from the treasury. Passed by acclimation. Strictly Sail conference will be in Philadelphia Jan 18-21, 2007. Barbara and Tony highly recommend the workshops and making the effort to attend.

Winnepasauki Rendevous is in May because the overland breeze is less cold there at that time of year than in the Naragansett, it is landbased if the weather gets bad and we need to pull out, and later in the season, the lake is too busy for sailing.

John O'Conner asked about Ethanol and fiberglass tanks. Discussion disclosed that older fiberglass tanks are susceptible to being destroyed by the ethanol in the new gas available, and you need to make sure your fiberglass tank isn't leaking. Some recommendations were to add stabilizer on every fill , using a small portable tank.

We will post notes from far flung members on the website.

Ed moved to accept "Other Business" and was accepted by acclimation.

VII. Presentations:
Albany NY to Block Island, presented by John O'Conner, which included a chart of the trip, slides from the sailor's website Off site location of slides with commentary by Barbara Garland and Tony Distefano who have local knowledge of the areas sailed.

Presentation of discussion : "Sailing with Greater Enjoyment" by Rani Chadowitz. She presented the idea of discussing what each of us can do, as individuals and as sailing partners, to increase our enjoyment of sailing. An impromptu discussion ensued, at the end of which it was decided to continue the discussion in an informal manner at the party for whoever is interested. Also, Rani will post her questions for discussion on the website, make them available at the party, and will set up a series of workshops.

It was decided to set up workshops on a variety of topics independent of the meetings so we may learn from the knowledge and expertise of club members. Sign up lists will be at the party as well. Some topics which were proposed: weather, trailering ,safety, dinghies, anchoring, communicating with your sailing partner, boat systems and how to maintain them.

Harry moved to adjourn the meeting at 4pm, and it was accepted by acclimation.
