MapRamp condition and docks:
There are two ramps. One is steeper than the other. Both work just fine. A dock
is available. The tide is approximately three feet. Can launch and haul at low tide with both
the board and rudder up. There is seldom a wait at the ramp. ChartParking and Fee:
There is no security but boaters do use the lot for over night parking. No
problems have been noted. If you park over night the town will put an envelope on your
windshield requesting $3.00 per day. The parking lot can be 70% to 80% full on weekends.
Amenities:
The ramp is located on the Fairhaven side of New Bedford Harbor within the hurricane
dike and is well sheltered. There are many marinas in the area and slips are usually
available.
Other notes:
This is an excellent ramp for access to Buzzard's Bay, Martha's Vineyard and Cuttyhunk.
