Like the Coast Guard Auxiliary, The US Sail an Power Squadron is a non profit organization dedicated to boating safety.
The USPS offers Education for new and experienced boaters, as well as coastal and offshore navigation rules of the road, electronics, gps use, engine repair, sailing etc.
In New England alone there are 45 individual squadrons.
